Hap was associated with the early development of the Blue Star Arts Complex, helping connect adaptive reuse with San Antonio’s contemporary-art community.
Beyond preservation
For Hap, saving an older structure did not mean freezing it in time. Reuse could make space for artists, businesses and new public life. Blue Star became one of the strongest examples of that philosophy.
